Delete account and data
Last updated: 14 October 2026
You can delete your SnapTable account and its data at any time, directly in the app. If you cannot sign in, you can also ask for it by email.
Delete inside the app
- Open SnapTable and go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap “Delete account” (in red).
- Type DELETE to confirm and tap “Delete everything”.
Deletion is permanent and immediate and cannot be undone. You need an Internet connection: if deletion on the server fails, the app tells you and deletes nothing, so you can try again.
What is deleted
- Your account and sign-in (email).
- The profile: name, profile photo, colour, preferences, notification choices and your friend code.
- The “About you” answers.
- The timetable, classes, events, days off and term dates.
- The exams and the records of your timetable and exam scans.
- The student card (data and images) and the locker code.
- The school emails you verified and the school requests you made.
- Your friendships and requests, the meetups you organised (with their chat), the messages you wrote, your blocks, the reports made by you or about you, suspensions, your notifications, the pending invitations you sent and your device’s push notification tokens.
- The files we kept in private storage (profile photo and card images).
- On your iPhone, SnapTable’s local data (including widget data and reminders) and the events SnapTable added to Apple Calendar.
What may remain, and for how long
- Backups at our database provider: if they exist, they are temporary (up to 7 days) and deleted data persists in them only until they are replaced; in the live systems it is gone at once.
- Notifications other users already received from you (for example, an invitation) may contain your name in their feed until they delete them; if you ask by email, we delete them.
- Invitation anti-repeat record (email and last-send date, not linked to your account): you can ask for its removal by email.
- Photos you sent to be scanned: we do not keep them; what the AI providers keep depends on their own policies (see the Privacy policy).
If you cannot get into the app
Send an email to snaptable@alvarorgz.com from the address you created the account with, with the subject “Delete my SnapTable account”. If you write from another address, we may ask you to confirm you own the account before deleting it. We delete the account and data within 30 days (the legal limit) and, as a rule, within a few days, and we confirm by email.
If you only want to delete part of your data
- Student card: remove it in the card section of the app.
- Locker code: delete it on the card screen.
- Profile photo: remove it when editing your profile.
- Timetable: Profile › “Delete schedule”.
- Exams: Profile › “Delete all exams”.
- Notifications: delete them in the notification feed.
- Website waitlist: ask us to remove your email at snaptable@alvarorgz.com.
